He did it again...

the DC Sniper does it again and probably revels in the glory of the stupidity of the media and how they feed right into his hand. The last thing cops said last Monday night was the "Sniper doesn't attack on weekends". Looks like he responded by waiting until the weekend to prove the police and the media wrong as an older gentleman in Virginia was hit this evening. Serial killers typically create a pattern to their crimes. It appears the pattern this killer is creating is a "random" one. The story just gets more and more interesting.

Except he's not random. He definitely does what the cops say he's not going to do. Seems like an easy way to catch him. "Don't worry, the guy never hits at this specific address on Friday nights." Vuala!

Ok, probably an oversimpification.

You make a great point wonko. In fact, while reading the Arizona Republic this morning I noticed that the reporter couldn't have been more stupid. The journalist was describing how high schools are having football games at secret locations so that the sniper wouldn't be able to find them. Then on TV a little later they disclosed that the secret locations were on military bases. I'm not sure if the media is trying to be intelligent and creating a trap for the sniper or if they are just completely stupid.
